AMBASSADORS

The Chamber’s welcoming and goodwill committee, Ambassadors assist members in obtaining maximum value from their Chamber investment by making contact with other Chamber members to relay information, discover concerns, and facilitate programs and events.

Plans and organizes the Chamber's Annual Dinner,the largest event for businesses on the Eastside. Themes focus around creating a competitive business environment for success.

BELLEVUE ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP
 
Date: BEP Recruitment Committee, 4th Thursday at 7:30 a.m.; BEP Welcome/Retention, 4th Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

A partnership of the Bellevue Chamber, Bellevue Downtown Association, City of Bellevue and Port of Seattle. Top priority is to promote economic development intiatives by recruiting, retaining and welcoming businesses to downtown and other commercial areas in Bellevue.

CHAMBER FOUNDATION/SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
 
The primary objective for this committee is to set criteria and determine funding options for new scholarships that are awarded to Bellevue students.

EAST KING COUNTY CHAMBERS LEGISLATIVE COALITION
 
Date: 4th Thursday of the month 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Bellevue Place
The Coalition is a federated ad-hoc organization comprised of eight East King County Chambers of Commerce: Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond, Northshore, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Woodinville & Upper Snoqualmie Valley. Each year the Coalition develops a unified legislative agenda.

EASTSIDE BUSINESS ALLIANCE
 
Date: 3rd Wednesdays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m

The Eastside Business Alliance is a legally separate political action committee formed by the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. It is governed by a separate Board of Trustees. Its mission is to foster on the Eastside a political climate in which elected officials know and understand the challenges faced by today's businesses.

EASTSIDE BUSINESS AWARDS COMMITTEE
 
Location: Chamber Office, 302 Bellevue Square
Plans and implements the annual Eastside Business Awards program and luncheon including developing a promotion plan for the event, helping facilitate the nominations and overseeing the judging process and selection of winners.

FACTORIA AREA BUSINESS GROUP
 
A group of local business people focusing on issues of mutual concern in the Factoria community. Venue allows area business to build valuable relationships.

GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
 
Date: 2nd Fridays
Location: Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Bellevue Place

Coordinates the Chamber's annual golf tournament, Benefiting Education to a Tee, and accompanying auction, which helps fund scholarships and education programs through the Chamber Foundation.

JOINT FINANCE COMMITTEE
 
Date: ad hoc
A partnership between the Bellevue Chamber and the Bellevue Downtown Association, this Committee develops policy recommendations on the City of Bellevue's budget process. It also provides opportunities for Chamber members to meet with city leaders to promote awareness on the budget process and its effects on Bellevue businesses.

K-20 EDUCATION COMMITTEE
 
Date: 2nd Thursday at 7:30 a.m.

Develops, implements and supports programs that promote relationships between the Bellevue business community and the Bellevue School District. Also acts as an advocate for legislative issues that affect education.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
 
Date: 2nd Thursdays, 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Chamber Office, 302 Bellevue Square

Addresses all government affairs issues affecting the business community. Hosts regional elected leaders and policymakers and examines topics affecting the Eastside business community including B & O taxes, regional cooperation, water supply, city budgets, healthcare, land use, technology, energy, and tort reform.

TRANSPORTATION/MOBILITY COMMITTEE
 
Date: 2nd Tuesday, 7:30 - 9:00
Location: Chamber Office, 302 Bellevue Square

Analyzes and directs transportation polices that will build an integrated regional transportation system to move people and goods safely and conveniently through and around Puget Sound's major corridors and urban centers. Serves as a partner with other regional organizations to review transportation projects and issues facing governments at all levels. Provides alternatives and direction for improving transportation.

DIVERSITY TASK FORCE

Focuses on developing the diversity of our membership as well as the diversity of our leadership through raising the awareness of diversity issues and working to create a positive environment for business opportunities between minority, women, and majority businesses on the Eastside.
