Bellevue Council on August hiatus.

After a busy June and July, the Council folded its tent and won’t be back until Monday, September 6, when it reconvenes for both a study session and regular meeting. For those who can’t stand the suspense check online for meeting agendas on Fridays before all sessions.

Corporations for Communities Awards

Do you know a Washington corporation or business that does give back to your community? It could be donating money or supplies, providing volunteer help on projects, or something else that makes a difference.

Secretary of State Kim Wyman will choose at least one large and one small company from among the public’s nominations. Time is running out, so learn more about the awards and place your nomination by August 31 – the Wednesday before Labor Day Weekend.

Ramp meter for Coal Creek Pkwy onto I-405

Do you like to bypass the I-405 southbound ramp and race down 114th/118th SE past Newport Shores? As of August 17, your short-cut has been well, short-circuited. Learn more about ramp metering at the Coal Creek Parkway/Lake Washington Blvd entrance to I-405, part of the I-405 corridor project.

Bel-Red Sewer Improvement Project

Bellevue Utilities Sewer project along Bel-Red Road is scheduled to start on August 26 and last through Fall of 2016. The Project includes upsizing a portion of sewer in Bel-Red Road from 148th Ave NE to NE 20th St, adding a new 16 inch main on the west side of the road.
