Posted By Chris Johnson, Monday, September 26, 2016
Updated: Friday, September 23, 2016

Now that Chamber policy committees have recommended support for both of Bellevue’s proposed ballot measures, the Board of Directors is poised to take action on each proposal.

Proposition One relating to fire services would authorized an additional property tax rate of up to 12.5 cents per $1,000.00 A/V, generating $6 million per year and $120 million over twenty years.

Proposition Two, regarding neighborhood safety, connectivity and congestion relief would add up to 15 cents per $1,000.00 A/V, and yield $7 million per year and $140 million over the life to the levy.

We’ll be back with the Board decision and information about likely projects to be funded.
