Ted Abernathy, Managing Partner, Economic Leadership |

Economic Leadership LLC, a consultancy that
is currently working in more than a dozen states to develop economic strategies. Ted has 35 years of
experience in directing economic development and workforce development programs. In the past two
years Ted has worked with state Chambers of Commerce in North Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri and
Kentucky to develop economic development plans and with another dozen regions, counties and
organizations on strategic plans and has served as economic development policy advisor to the
Southern Governors Association. From 2008-2013, Ted was the Executive Director of the Southern
Growth Policies Board, a 42-year old public policy think tank that provided economic development
research, strategy and marketing advice, to states and communities across the South. Before coming
to Southern Growth, Ted was a practicing economic developer for 28 years. Born in Dallas, NC, Ted
received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; his Master’s
from Johns Hopkins University, is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute and is an
Eisenhower Fellow for global economics. |

Jerry Chase, President & CEO, Bsquare |

Jerry Chase joined Bsquare in September
2013. Jerry was a member of the Bsquare board of directors prior to that. Before Bsquare, Jerry was
CEO and director at Lantronix (NASDAQ: LTRX), a provider of secure software, and embedded and
external hardware solutions. Prior to that, Jerry served as CEO and director at Terayon (acquired by
Motorola), then a publicly traded cable, satellite and telecom supplier of digital video networking
applications. Earlier, Jerry was Chairman and CEO of Thales Broadcast & Multimedia, a supplier of
transmission, digital video and test equipment to television and radio broadcast and telecom
broadband markets based in Paris. Jerry held a variety of senior management roles earlier in his
career, including General Manager at General Instrument, and Vice President, Systems Engineering &
Program Management at Scientific Atlanta. Jerry is a former United States Marine Corps officer and
pilot and holds an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in addition to a BS
in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude from East Carolina University. Jerry currently serves as
a board member of East Carolina University’s BB&T Center for Leadership Development. |

Anoop Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO, Nextio |

Anoop is Co-Founder and CEO of 18-month old
startup Nextio. Their mission is to transform professional networking by empowering users directly
and eliminating the control and power held today by middleman networks. Prior to Nextio, Anoop
spent 18 years at Microsoft in a diverse set of roles. He was Distinguished Scientist at Microsoft
Research leading Telepresence and Natural-User-Interface efforts; he directly reported to Bill Gates
for 2 years as his TA; he headed all enterprise communications products as Corporate Vice President
of Unified Communications; he headed global Technology Policy efforts for the company. He holds over
75 issued patents. Prior to Microsoft, Anoop was a tenured professor at Stanford, where he founded
one of the earliest companies in the streaming media space that was acquired by Microsoft in 1997.
He has a Ph.D in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University. Anoop lives in Bellevue with his
wife; there three kids have now all flown from the nest. |

Dr. Kawas has led M3 Biotechnology’s growth
since 2013 following completion of her PhD in molecular pharmacology from Washington State
University in 2011. Leen Kawas has led the company in business and financial growth through two
oversubscribed financing rounds. The funds raised will support and accelerate growth of the company
and take the lead candidate through the early stages of human testing. For her leadership and
accomplishments at M3 Biotechnology, Leen won Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Association of
Washington Business (December 2016), was selected as one of EY’s Winning Women Entrepreneur
(November 2016), won the 40 under 40 award from the Puget Sound Business Journal (July 2016), was an
Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist for EY (June 2016) and a Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist
for GeekWire (June 2016). She was named one of Seattle’s Most Influential People by Seattle Magazine
(November 2015) and one of the Women to Watch in Life Sciences by the Washington Biotechnology and
Biomedical Association (July 2015). As a company, M3 Biotechnology was also just named as one of
Seattle’s 10 hottest startups by GeekWire in 2016. |

She also serves as Board Director for Aminex Therapeutics and OtoNexus Medical Technologies, both Seattle-area companies. As a medical technology industry leader, Rhonda has received multiple awards, including Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year--Medical Products, San Diego; Deloitte's Fast 50 for 50 Fastest Growing Technology and Life Science Companies in Southern California; San Diego's Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business; and Athena's Pinnacle Individual in BioSciences. Dr. Keire worked for a number of years in the Departments of Pathology and Biological Structure at the University of Washington and is now with Anatomy Next, the next generation software for teaching anatomy to medical students; providing interactive tools for patient-physician communication; and a pre-surgical simulator and teaching tool using Microsoft Hololens technology. Other achievements include founding of (WAN) Internet for the country of Latvia, and a number of publications, recognition and awards in anatomic studies, tissue engineering, cardiovascular medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. Dr. Kiere did his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington with degrees in Chemistry (honors), Microbiology and Immunology. He received his medical training (MD, PhD) in Ohio and at the University of Washington. |

After receiving his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Texas Michael started his career at Texas Instruments where he led various teams in designing and delivering ASIC chipset used in Military applications, later on Michael took the leadership in delivering advanced processors used in SPARC stations. |

Vikram is a Professor and former Chair in the Department of Electrical Engineering, an Adjunct Professor in the Information School and serves on the advisory boards of UW Foster Business School's Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship and Partners for Our Children. Vikram received his PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998. He founded, along with his students, Nimbic (acquired by Mentor Graphics) and was an early employee at Ansoft (acquired by Ansys). His research, which has led to more than 200 papers and several PhD students at top R&D positions has been funded by DARPA, semiconductor industries, national labs, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and National Science Foundation, including an NSF CAREER award, and has received awards from UIUC, IEEE, UW, and NASA. |

Chris formed Dylan Bay (DB) in 1999 after 23 years of experience in law, politics and corporate leadership. During this time Chris was one of new Attorney General Slade Gorton's three Deputy AGs, the elected King County Prosecuting Attorney, a partner in the Perkins Coie law firm, General Counsel at Burlington Northern Inc. and the President of its real estate subsidiary, Glacier Park Company. Chris's non-profit experience includes being a trustee of The Nature Conservancy (national board), the Seattle Foundation (past chair), Arts Fund (past president), the Pacific Science Center, Seattle Repertory Theatre, YMCA of Seattle & King County, The National Association for Olmsted Parks (past chair) and serving as a member of the Board of Overseers of Harvard College. He is President of the Classical KING FM board and has chaired the board of Stewardship Partners since its founding in 1999. Mr. Bayley is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. |

Kevin Wallace, President & COO, Wallace Properties & Bellevue City Councilmember |

Kevin Wallace is serving his second term on the City Council, having been first elected in 2009. He was deputy mayor in 2014 and 2015. Kevin is council liaison to the Transportation Commission and represents Bellevue on the Eastside Transportation Partnership Steering Committee and the Puget Sound Regional Council’s Transportation Policy Board. While on the city’s Light Rail Leadership Group, Kevin was instrumental in negotiating changes to the city land use code and an agreement with Sound Transit that cleared the path for quality light rail through Bellevue in a manner that protects our neighborhoods, roads and businesses from the noise and traffic impacts of the project. In his professional life, Kevin is president and chief operating officer of Wallace Properties, a Bellevue-based commercial real estate company. The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties named him 2012 Developer of the Year for his development of a LEED-certified (environmentally friendly) community center in Snoqualmie and a LEED-certified multifamily mixed-use project in Seattle. Kevin earned a law degree from Gonzaga University and a bachelor's degree in finance from Seattle University. |
