The 2016 Fonté Holiday Blend Coffee Raises $15,000
Benefiting The Pike Market Childcare and Preschool’s Nutrition Program
(Seattle, WA: February 1, 2017) – Fonté Coffee Roaster is happy to announce we have raised $15,000 from the sale of our 2016 Holiday Blend, continuing a five-year tradition with all proceeds from the sale supporting the Pike Market Child Care and Preschool’s nutrition program.
Serving the community since 1982, Pike Market Child Care & Preschool extends high quality services for over 100 families annually, providing financial assistance for over 70 percent of enrolled families, of which half earn incomes at or below the poverty level. The school raises over $250,000 in support of these programs each year.
“We believe that nutrition is such an investment in the future of our children in how they learn and become outstanding people in our society,” said Paul Odom, founder of Fonté Coffee.
Upon presenting the donation to Ilene Stark, Director of Pike Market Child Care & Preschool, she was brought to tears. “We are thrilled about the generous contribution Fonté has made this year and how far it will go in supporting our nutrition program,” she said.
This annual donation is Fonté’s signature way of giving back to the Seattle community. The partnership between Fonté and Pike Market Child Care & Preschool continues to grow in admiration and effort; together, the two organizations are impacting the health of children and families in the community.

The all-peaberry blend was inspiring to Master Roaster Steve Smith because “all good things come in small packages.” “It is created with small, rare coffees and small beans in peaberry form to benefit small children in our community,” Smith said.
