Families, friends, and corporate teams made their feet happy as they laced up their shoes to take part in the 5th Annual Spirit of Bellevue 12K and 5K on Sunday, May 22, where proceeds will go towards college scholarships and student dreams of starting a business. Nearly 500 runners and walkers participated along with over 100 volunteers cheering them on.

The event offered a new scenic 12K (7.46 miles) route for runners as well as a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk route for the whole family. The Health & Wellness Fair at Bellevue Downtown Park featured a number of local businesses offering products and services to participants and spectators. In addition, several local businesses donated food, beverages, and promotional products for runners, walkers, and volunteers.

The Spirit of Bellevue Community Run/Walk is brought to you by the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and the Bellevue Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supporting education. 2016 event proceeds are still being tabulated and you may still contribute to this terrific cause! Make a tax deductible charitable donation towards the scholarship fund by calling 425.454.2464 or visit www.bellevuechamber.org/foundation.
