About the Workforce Development Education Task Force
Workforce Development and Education has been a critical issue for the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce since 1999. In 2000, the board of directors combined the Higher Education Committee and the Workforce Development Task Force to create the Workforce Education Development Task Force (WEDC). Through the work of the WEDC, the Chamber will serve as a catalyst for the improved recruitment and retention of a qualified and educated workforce.

The WEDC is engaged in the Seattle/King County Workforce Development Council's creation of a Local Unified Plan. The charge of the Workforce Development Council is to redefine the county's workforce development program directions.
