Bellevue Chamber Foundation Awards 2019 Scholarships to Deserving Students
Award Presentation to take place at June 6 Business Lunch with King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci

BELLEVUE – The Bellevue business community understands that an excellent education supports our future workforce. To recognize outstanding students, the Bellevue Chamber Foundation, with community partners who support education, has awarded $3500 in scholarships to Bellevue School District college bound seniors:

  • Eshika Saxena, Interlake High School, M. Gail Ryder Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates a high degree of entrepreneurship with aspirations to start their own business or to help businesses grow. Sponsored by Inslee Best, the scholarship is a legacy gift to honor and to celebrate the decades of contributions Gail Ryder has made to the business community.
  •  Melody Yeung, Sammamish High School, Ralph James Family Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a degree in business.

The scholarship award presentation will take place at the Bellevue Chamber Business Lunch with King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci on Thursday, June 6, 12:00-1:30pm at the Westin Bellevue, 600 Bellevue Way NE. King County is the epicenter for important regional issues from homelessness, transportation, to parks funding. Join us as former Bellevue Mayor and current King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci gives an update on King County government. Reservations are required and can be made online at www.bellevuechamber.org or by calling 425.454.2464.

The Bellevue Chamber serves as the voice of business on the Eastside, representing thousands of jobs in our community.  Education is one of the priority issues for the Bellevue Chamber as we work to forge strategic alliances among the education and business communities. The Chamber has established a separate Foundation to fund these programs.
