The Business Lunch: The Business of Golf & Major Tournaments
Business Lunch set for February 25 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel Bellevue

BELLEVUE – What's the economic impact of a world-class sporting event on the local economy? Sean Riley, Championship Director for the 2016 KPMG Women's PGA Championship will explore the significance of this major sporting event coming to Sahalee Country Club in June 2016 at the Bellevue Chamber Business Lunch on Thursday, February 25, 12:00-1:30pm at the Red Lion Hotel Bellevue, 11211 Main Street, Bellevue.  An event of this magnitude draws spectators, participants, and volunteers that spend millions locally and attracts worldwide attention. Join us as we look at the business of golf and the importance of positioning the Eastside as a premier location and host for select sports competitions.

Riley is responsible for the overall coordination and planning of the first women's major championship in the Pacific Northwest in 70 years. Sahalee Country Club, site of the 1998 PGA Championship and the 2010 U.S. Senior Open, becomes the second Washington state site to host a U.S. women's major, following the inaugural U.S. Women's Open Championship in 1946, played in Spokane. The KPMG Women's PGA Championship is the second golf major in the Pacific Northwest in as many years, following this year's hugely popular men's U.S. Open Championship at Chambers Bay in Tacoma.

The Business Lunch brings Eastside business, political and community leaders together to learn about innovative and timely topics to ensure business success. Reservations are required and can be made online at or by calling 425.454.2464. The Business Lunch is presented by Columbia Bank, The Bellevue Collection, and AAA Washington. The Seattle Times is the Media Sponsor.

The Bellevue Chamber serves as the voice of business on the Eastside, representing thousands of jobs in our community. Businesses range in size from sole proprietors to large corporations. The Chamber's mission is to foster a healthy business environment by providing strategic leadership, advocacy, tools, and resources for business success.
