Chamber applauds Bellevue Council’s mid-biennium budget
The Bellevue City Council unanimously approved its $2.3B mid-biennium budget on November 20, successfully capping outgoing City Manager Brad Miyake’s financial stewardship of the city.
A total change of $13.6 million since last amended by Council, the mid-biennium budget reflects inflationary shifts as well as updated figures for local homelessness efforts, the City Manager's Office, right sizing of the Keep Bellevue Beautiful program, and space planning for City Hall and the Bellevue Service Center.
“Bellevue brings a strong sense of accountability and fiscal responsibility to its budget process, and this mid-biennium budget is no different,” said Chamber President and CEO, Joe Fain. “This budget prioritizes the city’s continued investments in public safety, while still avoiding tax increases.”
