Jennifer Clark

Jennifer Clark

Vice President, Sponsorship & Sales, Bellevue Chamber

Jennifer Clark is the Vice President for the Bellevue Chamber, charged with overseeing Legacy Leader relationships, sponsorship, and membership sales. Jennifer is the former director of specialty sales at Alaska Airlines.

A Pacific Northwest aviation professional, she was directly accountable for steering the strategic and tactical efforts of Alaska Airlines’ corporate sales efforts with a staff of professionals. She was responsible and accountable for all sales and revenue for Alaska’s private charter agreements, wholesale business, group sales, seafood customers and small and medium-sized business customers.

Jennifer was born and raised in Bellevue, Washington. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications at the University of Washington. Prior to joining Alaska Airlines, she worked in the telecommunication industry from 1989 – 2015 where she worked for McCaw Cellular Communications which was later acquired by AT&T. During this time, Jennifer became a Director of Sales and developed and hired a large, national sales team across the country.

Jennifer stayed with AT&T until 1999. She then joined Nextel Communications as a Sales Director and worked to build their first national accounts team. Nextel was later acquired by Sprint in 2005 where Jennifer served as Director of Sales over a 10-state region in the Pacific Northwest and Desert Mountain area managing a team of over 75 sales professionals.

Amber Simonsen

Commercial Project Director, Alaska Airlines

Amber is a productivity consultant that believes a better work week is possible for all of us. She provides the tools and systems so you can thrive at work, deliver incredible results for your organization, and be home for dinner.

Amber has built her career on getting big things done as a strategic project leader across the tech, government, and aviation industries. She's launched multimillion dollar products, led county-wide engagement sessions, managed the rebrand of a Fortune 500 company, and drove the commercial project portfolio for a national merger, all the while learning how to help her team members avoid burnout.

Whether she's working with a small team or speaking at a global conference, Amber's passion for working better is infectious. Through speaking, workshops and coaching, she helps professionals create sustained change, that spreads throughout an organization.

Mo Malakoutian

Mo Malakoutian

Deputy Mayor, City of Bellevue

Mo Malakoutian was elected to the City Council in November 2023, for a four-year term starting in 2024. At his first meeting, his colleagues elected him deputy mayor for 2024 and 2025.

The council member served one and a half terms on the Planning Commission, from 2018 until he took office as a member of the council. He chaired the commission at one point. In 2008, Mo immigrated to Washington from Iran to earn a doctorate in structural engineering at the University of Washington. He moved to Bellevue in 2013.

Mo’s priorities include affordable housing, public safety, efficient transportation options, sustainability and equity. His council assignments include representing the council on the King County Cities Climate Collaboration and the Mental Illness Drug Dependency steering and advisory committees. He is Planning Commission and Youth Link Board liaison.

Mo has over 20 years of experience in construction, engineering, academia and the tech industry. He is a senior program manager at Amazon and an affiliate assistant professor (part-time) at the University of Washington, in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. He also serves on the board of Wellspring Family Services.

In addition to his doctorate in engineering, Mo also earned an MBA from UW's Foster School of Business.

Osman Salahuddin

Rep. Osman Salahuddin

State Representative, 48th District

Osman represents the 48th Legislative District, including parts of Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and all of Clyde Hill, Medina, Yarrow Point, and Hunts Point. A Redmond native and proud son of immigrants—a special education teacher and small business owner—he earned a B.S. in neurobiology from the University of Washington, where he served as Student Body President.

Before being elected, Osman worked as a researcher at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center and UW Medicine. He has served his community on the Redmond City Council, worked for the King County Council, and contributed to non-profit boards like the Transportation Choices Coalition.

Jodie Alberts

Jodie Alberts

VP, Government Affairs, Bellevue Chamber

Jodie Alberts is the Vice President of Government Affairs. In this role, she oversees all of the Chamber’s public affairs and advocacy initiatives.

Previously, Jodie served as the Director of Operations for the Political Affairs and Federation Relations department at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. In this role, she oversaw the department’s compliance needs, serving as the FEC Treasurer and reporting all electioneering communication activities during the 2020 election cycle. She composed, organized, and executed multi-million-dollar budgets and contracts related to grassroots activities, the Federation program, PAC initiatives, and voter education activity.

Prior to this, Jodie managed national political operations for the Republican National Committee (RNC) during the 2018 election cycle. During the 2016 cycle, she coordinated the RNC’s western regional affairs in 13 states. Jodie also brings her state campaign and D.C. Capitol Hill experiences to her current role.

Jodie received her MBA from American University's Kogod School of Business and her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy Leadership from the University of Mississippi. She and her husband, Marc, reside north of Seattle in Bothell.

Joe Fain

Joe Fain

President & CEO, Bellevue Chamber

Joe Fain is the President and CEO of the Bellevue Chamber. He previously served two terms in the Washington State Senate where he worked extensively on economic development, transportation, and education issues.

He was a leading negotiator of Washington’s 2015 statewide transportation package. He also led the negotiations and prime-sponsored Washington’s Paid Family Leave legislation, which passed in 2017.

Joe has also worked managing a boutique law and consulting firm in Seattle specializing in technology and healthcare; at the University of Washington office of technology transfer and commercialization; as a prosecutor for King County; and as Chief of Staff to a member of the King County Council.

Joe was selected in 2012 as one Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 under 40 and was a 2017 Rodel Fellow with the Aspen Institute. He has a Joint JD/MBA from Seattle University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.

Brad Jones

Executive Director, Visit Bellevue

With over 28 years experience as an Executive Director / CEO of Destination Management Organizations Brad provides oversight and guidance to Visit Bellevue.

Current Chairman of Washington Society of DMO's, Vice Chair of State of Washington Tourism, and is active on many local civic and community boards and industry affiliated groups. Father, Dad, known as the hockey guy from the Michigan & Minnesota and lover of all-things wilderness and outdoors.

Jared Spataro

Jared Spataro

Chief Marketing Officer, AI at Work, Microsoft

Jared Spataro is a seasoned corporate vice president at Microsoft, specializing in AI at Work. With over 15 years at Microsoft, he leads initiatives that leverage AI to optimize business operations and foster innovation.

His expertise spans agile methodologies, cloud computing, and product management, positioning him as a key player in shaping the future of work. Jared advocates for a learn-it-all culture, emphasizing data-driven decision-making in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Outside of his professional role, he is deeply committed to his family and community, serving as a church leader and drawing inspiration from his personal life to enhance his professional endeavors. His academic background includes an MBA from MIT and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, reflecting a strong foundation in both technical and leadership skills.

Sam Cho

Commissioner Sam Cho

Commissioner, Port of Seattle

Sam Cho was elected to the Port Commission in 2019 and Commission President in 2023. Cho is the son of immigrants who immigrated from South Korea to the United States through the Port of Seattle in the 80s. He is the youngest and first person of color to become Commission President since the founding of the Port in 1911.

Driven to help shape the economy of the future, Commissioner Cho’s career has spanned from government and emerging startups to established companies in the tech and sustainability space.

Commissioner Cho currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell. He also held positions as an analyst at the U.S. Department of State, as a Legislative Assistant to both a Washington State Senator and a member of the United States Congress, and served as a political appointee under President Barack Obama. Prior to his election to the Port, Commissioner Cho was the founder and CEO of Seven Seas Export, an international trading company that exported over 2.5 million pounds of eggs to various countries throughout the Asia-Pacific.

Joe Quinlan

Joe Quinlan

Chief Market Strategist, Bank of America

Joseph Quinlan is Managing Director and Head of Market Strategy for the Chief Investment Office (CIO) within Bank of America Corporation supporting Bank of America Private Bank and Merrill. In this role, Joe leads a team responsible for global market and thematic analysis in support of the asset allocation and portfolio construction across the wealth management businesses.

Joe provides economic and market insights, guiding overall investment strategy, both domestically and globally. Mr. Quinlan began his career with Merrill and also served as a senior global economist/strategist for Morgan Stanley.

He is frequently cited in such publications as Foreign Affairs, Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the Financial Times. He regularly appears on CNBC, as well as Bloomberg television, PBS and other media venues. He has co-authored the book Gender Lens Investing: Uncovering Opportunities for Growth, Returns, and Impact.

Mr. Quinlan lectures on finance and global economics at Fordham University and has lectured at various universities around the world, including Wuhan University in China. In 1998, he was nominated as an Eisenhower Fellow. He is a Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins SAIS. In 2006, he received the Transatlantic Business Award for his research on U.S.-Europe economic ties and was a 2007 European-American Business Council Leadership award recipient.
