Professional Bio
Brian is a managing director with PNC Institutional Asset Management, leading a team of experienced investment, client service and sales professionals. His team is responsible for sales, implementation, client services and provides innovative and effective asset management solutions for clients located in the Pacific Northwest.
Prior to joining PNC, Brian enjoyed ~26 years at Russell Investments where he held a variety of executive level roles. During his tenure he led the global business efforts for Russell's dually registered investment advisor and broker dealer that managed over $200 billion of directly managed equity, fixed income, FX, derivative, transition management and outsourced trading activity.
Brian pioneered Russell's quantitative and systematic equity group where he grew assets from zero to over $55 billion; managed a global team of investment professionals in Seattle, Sydney and London; and served on Russell Investments' Global Investment Strategy Committee overseeing over $300 billion of global AUM.
Brian graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and international political economy from the University of Washington. He also received his Certificate in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Harvard Business School and Certificate in Financial Technology (FinTech) from Harvard College.
Brian holds the FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. He is a well respected community leader currently serving as Chairman of the University of Washington Business School Advisory Board; serves on the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Board; was former Chairman of the Board for the Make A Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington; Coached Mercer Island Little League Baseball; and has served on the Mercer Island School District's Long Term Facilities Planning Commission.
