Brandon Baucom

As an insurance advisor, Brandon’s primary responsibility is to consult with clients on their businesses and cultivate relationships.

After graduating college, Brandon started at Travelers Insurance as a construction underwriter. His East Coast territory expanded throughout North and South Carolina, Virginia, Texas and many other states throughout the Southeast. During his time there, he was later promoted as the only hybrid employee in the US that shared responsibilities in both construction and inland marine, such as builder’s risk, large property, transportation, and cargo. After leaving Travelers, Brandon worked for CNA Insurance, where again he worked as a construction underwriter handling casualty, property, inland marine, and professional / pollution policies.

Finally, before coming to HUB, Brandon was at Zurich North America, based in Seattle, WA. He was the number one underwriter in the country, handling one of the largest books of business with over 80 contractors and a premium of nearly $40 million.

Before leaving Zurich, he was promoted to management after only two years and managed the entire PNW with oversight of three underwriters and responsibility for multiple projects across the country. Brandon continues to maintain great relationships with his former colleagues at both Zurich and Travelers.

Brandon is now a Vice President in commercial insurance here at HUB after joining the firm in 2024 and is a key expert in our construction specialty group.
