Professional Bio
Amy Farrier joined Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties as the Chief Development Officer in 2017. She is responsible for leading a $18 million annual campaign and managing all of Habitat’s fundraising and marketing activities, including major gifts, the annual fund, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, communications, public relations, social media, and volunteers. She brings a wealth of diverse experiences in nonprofit management, senior leadership, fundraising campaigns, social impact, search, and business acumen to the key role of the chief fundraiser for Seattle’s largest nonprofit homebuilder.
Amy previously served as the Managing Director of DRi’s (Development Resources Inc.) West Coast office. Her expertise and knowledge of client needs helped her succeed in directing executive searches and offering strategic guidance and consultation on a wide range of development functions for organizations in Washington, Oregon, and California.
Before joining DRi, Amy spent 12 years as the Deputy Chief Development Officer of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. During her time at the Museum, Amy oversaw the planning and feasibility study for a $540 million comprehensive campaign. She led the Museum’s fundraising efforts, for which Amy and her team raised $40 million annually. She managed five regional fundraising offices across the U.S., including thirty staff members, and was integral to the Museum’s senior leadership team.
Prior to joining the Museum, Amy had an accomplished record of campaign consulting and comprehensive development program design. She served as a Consultant and Campaign Director for Community Counseling Service (CCS) Fundraising at the University of Pennsylvania. She previously served as the Associate Vice President at the Notre Dame University of Maryland and Goucher College.
