Bellevue's Business Case, Delivered in Person
Each December, the Bellevue Chamber takes a small delegation of business and community leaders to Washington, D.C. for two days of meetings with members of Congress, federal policymakers and the national organizations that shape federal affairs. It is the one time each year the Eastside business community sits across the table from the people writing federal policy, on their turf.
Meetings, meals and ground transportation are arranged for you well ahead of arrival. You bring the perspective of your business. We handle the rest.

Briefings with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, executive branch staff and the think tanks and business organizations leading federal policy debates.
The Delegation Itself
Private group dinners, a welcome night and the annual joint reception with the Association of Washington Business. Two days with the region's most engaged leaders.

HOW THE WEEK RUNS
Four Days, Two of Them on the Hill
December 1 and 4 are travel days. Meetings and activities run all day on December 2 and 3. The full schedule, with confirmed meetings and locations, goes to registered attendees before departure.
Tuesday, Dec 1
Arrive
Travel day. The delegation gathers for a welcome dinner that evening.
Wednesday, Dec 2
Capitol Hill
A breakfast briefing, then a full day of meetings with the congressional delegation. The evening closes with the joint AWB and Bellevue Chamber reception.
Thursday, Dec 3
Federal Affairs
Breakfast briefing at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, then meetings with federal agencies, think tanks and business organizations. Private group dinner.
Friday, Dec 4
Depart
Travel day. Stay on to see the city if you like; the flight discount covers a wider window.

WHO IS IN THE ROOM
Four Years of Access, Built Meeting by Meeting
Last year's delegation met with Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, Representatives Suzan DelBene, Adam Smith and Michael Baumgartner, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Transportation, and joined the Association of Washington Business for the annual reception. The Fly-In is deliberately small, about 25 people, so every attendee is part of the conversation rather than an audience for it.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many spots are available?
The delegation is kept small, historically about 25 people, so meetings with the Washington delegation and federal agencies stay productive. Registration closes November 17 or when the delegation fills, whichever comes first.
What does the registration fee cover?
Both packages include five meals, the joint reception with AWB, access to every meeting, transportation between meetings in D.C., and all other group activities. The Premier Package adds a three-night hotel stay booked by the Chamber. Neither package includes airfare.
How do flights work?
You book your own flights. Your registration confirmation includes a 10 percent Alaska Airlines discount code, and we share preferred flight options ahead of the trip. You are welcome to arrive early or stay later than the group.
Where does the delegation stay?
Premier Package attendees are booked into the Chamber's hotel block for three nights, December 1 through 3. Hotel details go to registered attendees once the block is confirmed. Basic Package attendees arrange their own lodging; staying near the group hotel makes the morning departures easier.
When will I see the meeting schedule?
Congressional offices confirm late by nature, so the final schedule and briefing materials go to registered attendees in the weeks before departure. Expect a participant prep session before the trip covering the agenda, talking points and logistics.
What should I wear?
Business attire for all meetings and the reception. Washington, D.C. is cold in December and the delegation moves between buildings on foot, so bring a warm coat and layers.
Do I need to be a Chamber member?
The Fly-In is built for Bellevue Chamber members and the region's business and community leaders. If you are not yet a member and want to join the delegation, contact us and we will talk it through.
