FORECAST TRACKER
EVERY STATE FORECAST SINCE 2015, SIDE BY SIDE
Four times a year, the state's Economic and Revenue Forecast Council publishes the numbers Olympia builds its budget on. This tracker lines up every one of those forecasts since 2015, exactly as published, so you can see how the outlook for housing, jobs, income and state revenue has shifted from one report to the next.
Latest ERFC report
Sep 2026
45 reports since Feb 2015 • data refreshed Oct 12, 2026
Policy Council members work from the same ERFC numbers the Legislature does.
HOW TO READ IT
Three Ways to Read a Forecast
Each ERFC report revises the one before it. The tracker shows those revisions three ways.
What each report said
Pick a measure and a year. Every point is one ERFC report's number for that year, so you can watch the forecast for 2026 rise and fall as each new report arrived. Hollow points are preliminary reports; filled points are final.
The budget-writing reports
Washington budgets cover two fiscal years. The Governor's proposal is built on the November report before the biennium starts; the Legislature writes the budget on the March report of its first year. The tracker compares the latest outlook with both.
Turn back the clock
"View as of" rolls the whole tracker back to any report month, showing only what ERFC had released by then. It is the quickest way to see what the state knew when a budget was adopted.
THE BUDGET CALENDAR
Four Reports a Year. Two of Them Write the Budget.
ERFC publishes a forecast roughly every quarter. Each one updates the picture, but two carry the state's two-year budget.
February / March
The forecast the Legislature works from in session. In odd years, the two-year budget is written on it.
June
The first update after the session, with any revenue legislation the Legislature passed now included.
September
The last read before the Governor's office drafts the next budget proposal.
November
In even years, the Governor's proposed two-year budget is built on this report, before the biennium starts.
Every figure in the tracker comes from ERFC's economic forecast summaries and revenue reviews, kept exactly as published. The tracker checks for a new report every morning and updates itself when one is posted.
CHAMBER ADVOCACY
Where These Numbers Go to Work
Three Chamber committees take the forecast into the rooms where housing, transportation and the state budget get decided.
JOIN THE WORK
Put the Forecast to Work
Our Policy Council uses these numbers when it weighs in with legislators on housing, transportation and the state budget. If your business has a stake in those decisions, there is a seat at the table for you.
