Hear From Olympia Before Olympia Convenes
Six days before the Washington State Legislature opens its 2027 session, the Eastside's state legislators sit down with the business community in Bellevue. The Legislative Kick Off is the East King Chambers Coalition's annual start to the session: panels of lawmakers from both parties, moderated by regional leaders, taking questions on the issues Olympia is about to decide. In 2026, ten legislators took the stage and more than 200 people registered.
Registration, coffee and networking open at 7 a.m. The program starts at 7:30 and wraps up at 9, in time for the workday.
Legislators, On the Record
State senators and representatives who serve the Eastside answer moderators and the room on what they expect to pass, what they will fight, and where the votes are.
The Issues the Session Will Decide
The 2026 panels covered the state budget and the economy, housing, energy and transportation, public safety, homelessness and behavioral health, and education and workforce. The 2027 topics and panelists are announced here as they are confirmed.
Eleven Chambers, One Eastside Agenda
The East King Chambers Coalition carries the Eastside's legislative priorities to Olympia on behalf of eleven chambers of commerce. The Kick Off is where legislators hear them first, and where members hear what the session holds.

About the Legislative Kick Off
The East King Chambers Coalition is eleven chambers of commerce from across eastern King County that speak with one voice in Olympia. For more than 20 years the coalition has opened the legislative season with the Kick Off in Bellevue: a morning of candid conversation between the lawmakers who represent the Eastside and the employers and residents their decisions reach. Chamber Day in Olympia follows during the session, and the Legislative Wrap Up closes it in the spring.

What time should I arrive?
Registration, coffee and networking open at 7 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, 900 Bellevue Way NE. The program starts at 7:30 and ends at 9.
When does early bird pricing end?
Early bird pricing ($65 for an individual seat, $600 for a table of 10) runs through Friday, December 4. From December 5, individual tickets are $75 and tables of 10 are $735. Table sales close December 25.
Do I need to be a Chamber member to attend?
No. Tickets are open to everyone at one price, member or not. Members of every East King Chambers Coalition chamber attend, and so do guests who are new to the coalition.
Can I bring my team?
Yes. A Table Captain ticket holds all 10 seats at one table: $600 through December 4, then $735 from December 5 through December 25.

Participating legislators are announced on this page and on the event record as they confirm. Last year ten state legislators from both parties sat on the panels; their names and photos are in the Participating Legislators section above.
