Professional Bio
Ashica Demira, MSW, LICSW, CSW-G, C-SWHC (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and an alumni of the University of Washington, School of Social Work. She is a trained Intergroup Dialogue Facilitator and has advanced certifications in both Clinical Gerontology & Healthcare Social Work. She has over fifteen years of professional experience providing care as a clinical social worker & mental health clinician.
A lifelong passion of learning has lead to additional training as a Trauma- Sensitive HeartMath® Practitioner, MoCA certified rater, Reiki Master, and a graduate of the Mindfulness Mentor Training program. She's currently pursuing teacher training with the Center for
Mindful Self-Compassion.
Ashica believes service is essential to community wellness and volunteers routinely. She serves as
Secretary on a Board of Directors for Lifewire, a local nonprofit in Bellevue, WA dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence.
She is the owner-operation of Essential Therapy and Consultation, a mobile mental wellness practice reducing transportation and technology barriers to care. Her practice embraces personal wellness, family healing, elder care, group facilitation, and professional wellness through coaching, workshops, and corporate retreats.
Ashica’s approach to person-centered care is culturally-responsive, trauma- informed, strength- based, liberation- focused and grounded in empowerment, collaboration, and compassion. Her personal belief is the level of self-compassion we give ourselves is essential for nurturing strong interpersonal relationships, promoting care, and generosity within them.
Ashica grew up in Washington State. She lives a mindful lifestyle and welcomes any opportunity to be creative or engage the senses. She enjoys spending time learning & connecting with another. She is active and can often be found golfing, walking, lifting weights, playing pickleball, or jumping on her mini trampoline.
