David Song

I am a foreign-born, Chicago-raised non-profit leader who has served in diverse cities like Chicago, Seattle, and the Twin Cities. My career is dedicated to building community through shared values, culture, service, equity, and missions amplifying the voices of those who must be heard - especially working families, military service members, learners, advocates, artists, immigrants, refugees, Black / Brown / BIPOC youth, and those living with mental health challenges - and supporting them in life opportunities that others take for granted.

I have 16 years of leadership experience as an Executive Director + Program Director in supporting economic mobility, military service partnerships, education (urban debate, elementary, secondary, higher ed, college access), workplace mental health, workforce development, advocacy, and arts, music, and culture non-profits ranging from startups to budgets of $3.8 million.
