The designer behind Gustavo Apiti Couture is Gustave Apiti the NW Emmy Award Winner 2021, originally From the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gustave is a very brilliant designer with years of experience in Seattle and overseas and was raised in a household of artists. From an early age Gustave had a talent and an artistic eye for fabrics and designs, and along his journey he developed stellar skills with patterns and tailoring that distinguished him from others in his field.

Gustave graduated from fashion school at Tshwane University or Technology (B-tech) in South Africa and worked for South African top fashion designer like JJ SCHOEMAN BOUTIQUE, STRANGERLOVE, SUNGODDESS etc… while studying and working for other designers Gustave was also running his small business from home. In September 2010 he decided to work for himself, and launched his brand GUSTAVO APITI COUTURE. He started designing daywear and glamorous eveningwear for famous personalities and celebrities. Gustave is a talented tailor and designer who can create anything you dream up! -Including original custom wedding gowns, suits (men/women), special occasion attire, and everyday business wear. He worked at Luly Yang Couture after he immigrated to the United States of America, he is currently working as a Master Apparel fit specialist at Nordstrom Inc Seattle and still running his own clothing brand Gustavo Apiti Couture in the USA. He also has the ability to create sophisticated and glamorous gowns with fusing different traditional patterns and perform intricate alterations,
