L Darrell Powell

Darrell brings more than 30 years of experience as a strategic finance leader, with deep experience in real estate development, financial and property management, strategic planning and business development. Darrell joins YGS from United Way of King County, where he served as Chief Operations Officer and led finance and accounting, information technology, risk management, and facilities for the last 4 years. Prior to United Way, Darrell served as CFO for Treehouse and College Success Foundation, as an Auditor at Ernst & Young, and as an Audit Manager at Saga Corporation. He has been part of startup organizations and ran his own certified public accounting firm. He is the Board Treasurer for Alliance for Education and part of the Finance and Audit Committees of College Possible, Washington and College Success Foundation
