Professional Bio
Susan is the Co-Founder and Board President of SPLASHForward. She passionately leads this trusted nonprofit working closely with the City of Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and King County to fill the great aquatics gap in our communities with best-in-class aquatics facilities. She is driven to create aquatics pathways so everyone can lead healthier lives.
Susan brings with her fifteen years of Program Management experience in software development which includes 11 years at Microsoft. She spent many years making computer graphics software easy to use for the average business user and was a part of putting the phone in Microsoft’s Pocket PC that became Microsoft’s first mobile phone.
She is a lifelong athlete who spent much of her youth playing in the water. She is a competitive Masters cross country and track runner, Masters swimmer, and distance coach with the youth running club Cascade Striders. She lives in Kirkland with her husband and seventeen-year-old twins.
