Comcast RISE, Fogo de Chão host info session on opportunities for small business

5 Things, Community, In the News,

To help promote their Comcast RISE program, the telecommunications giant teamed up with the Bellevue Chamber and Fogo de Chão to gather local small-and-medium businesses … over lunch, of course.

Specifically, through this program Comcast is looking to award 100 small businesses in King County with grant packages including a technology makeover, creative production, a media schedule, educational resources, a $5,000 monetary grant, and business consultation services.

See if your business is eligible for the grant here, and we hope you can join us for an informational webinar NEXT WEEK on May 20 at noon.

At our in-person info session, Cherelle Lovato, Senior Business Account Executive for Comcast, came to discuss the perks of the program, and shared a sweet anecdote as well.

“Comcast RISE started in right before 2020 when a lot of small and medium businesses were having the hardest times of their lives,” said Lovato. “My personal story I'll share [is that] my mom is one of the reasons why I love small, medium businesses so much. She is an entrepreneur of all kinds, and she just retired last year and before her retirement, she owned a small thrift store in Spanaway, Washington.”

“In 2020, she was actually awarded one of the grants for Comcast RISE, and I remember just hearing her story, and how much you know that grant took off of her shoulders,” she continued.

The best part? Folks previously had to pick one facet of the grant program —  a technology makeover, creative production, a media schedule, educational resources, a $5,000 monetary grant, or business consultation services — but this year, winners will receive the full suite of services.
