Bellevue Chamber Backs Parking Reform to Support Housing, Small Business, and a More Mobile Bellevue
The Bellevue Chamber’s PLUSH Committee submitted the following letter to the Bellevue City Council in support of the City’s Parking Reform Land Use Code Amendment project initiation. In our comments, we urge an ambitious approach that aligns with state law and Bellevue 2044, keeps momentum toward adoption ahead of the state deadline, and modernizes parking rules, especially in growth centers and areas served by frequent transit. The letter also outlines practical recommendations to reduce unnecessary project costs, improve small-business flexibility, and make it easier to adapt existing buildings as travel and mobility needs evolve.
