Chamber closes in on registration for Young Entrepreneurs Academy

Programs,

If you have a young entrepreneurial spirit in your life, look into the Chamber’s YEA! Program, which allows middle and high school students to come up with a business plan, pitch to investors, and learn the basics of business-building alongside other motivated kids.

This year's YEA! class will begin on October 23, 2023 and will run through December 7. In the duration of the program, participants will have the opportunity to fully develop the backbone of their proposed product or service, as well as how to navigate next steps and achieve their long-term goals.

“It is so inspiring to look back on all of the different projects students have come up with during the YEA! Program,” said program head and Chamber Senior Vice President, Kim Fredericks. “Many have even gone on to produce prototypes or pursue other entrepreneurial interests ... I have no doubt in my mind that our next session will be just as successful.”

The dates: October 23 through December 7, held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The instructor: Alan Gonzalez is BACK to teach YEA!. As founder of multiple startups — including DevMatch — and graduate of the UW Foster School of Business Masters in Entrepreneurship, Gonzalez is the perfect person to teach our future businesspeople.

The application: Apps are due by October 13, 2023. Apply here!

The tuition: $850, with a very limited number of scholarships to be considered on a need basis
